Casa Particulares are licensed family homes and private apartments in Cuba. This kind of accommodation can be an inexpensive way of enjoying your holiday with the advantage of experiencing the Cuban way of life, the language and the culture.

A family home usually means that you will be sharing the accommodation with a family, but having your own bedroom. Many of these casa’s have air-conditioning in the bedrooms; some have ensuite facilities, phone, TV, Hi-fi and fridge in the room. Owners of the properties are sometimes able to provide you with meals at a small charge; alternatively, kitchen will be available for you to self-cater. 

For more independence you can stay in a private apartment with all facilities.

It is highly recommended that you book and pay for your casa particular before you travel to Cuba to ensure that the accommodation is available for you when you arrive. It is also important that you should expect to be met at the airport upon arrival by an authorised person who will arrange to take you to your accommodation.
